LIVE Broadcast Drones

REAL TIME. ON AIR. NO SECOND TAKES.

Broadcast-grade aerial video transmitted to your switcher with sub-100ms latency.

When you're live, there's no margin for error. Our broadcast drone systems deliver clean HD and 4K aerial feeds straight into your production switcher. Sub-100ms glass-to-glass. Redundant transmission. On-set engineering support. We've done concerts, sporting events, corporate events, and broadcast productions for crowds of 80,000.

How It Works

FROM AIR TO AIR. SECONDS.

Live broadcast isn't just flying with a drone. It's an integrated video chain that has to work on the first take, every take. Here's what happens between the drone and the moment the feed hits a million screens.

01

Capture

Cinema-grade aerial camera captures the shot in HD or 4K UHD. Pilot and dedicated camera operator work the air unit while in constant comms with the director.

02

Transmit

Signal travels from the drone to our ground station via a redundant wireless link. Range up to five miles with line-of-sight. Sub-100ms latency from camera sensor to ground.

03

Deliver

Clean HDMI, SDI, or IP-based output (NDI/SRT) feeds directly into your production switcher. Genlock available. Embedded audio supported.

04

On Air

Director cuts to the drone like any other camera. Our pilot works counts and cues just like a camera op on the ground. We integrate into the show, we don't interrupt it.

Signal Outputs

WORKS WITH WHATEVER YOU'VE GOT

We integrate with your existing broadcast infrastructure. Whether you're running a small streaming truck or a network broadcast compound, we deliver the signal in whatever format your engineer needs.

Most productions use SDI for the cleanest direct integration. NDI works great for IP-based workflows. SRT is becoming the new standard for remote broadcasts. We support all three and can custom-configure for less common workflows.

Where We Work

BUILT FOR BROADCAST. ANY VENUE. ANY SCALE.

From stadium events to intimate corporate functions, we scale our crew, gear, and signal infrastructure to match what the show demands.

Concerts & Tours

Stadium and arena concerts, multi-camera broadcasts, festival main stages, touring productions. We work with your video director and follow the show like any other camera.

Sporting Events

Auto racing, golf, motorsports, action sports, marathons. High-speed pursuit shots and sweeping venue overviews delivered directly to the broadcast truck.

Corporate Events

Keynotes, product launches, brand activations. Polished aerial perspectives that elevate the production value without complicating the run-of-show.

Streaming & Digital

Twitch, YouTube Live, social broadcasts. NDI and SRT outputs integrate directly into vMix, OBS, Wirecast, and other streaming software.

Awards & Galas

Red carpets, awards ceremonies, fundraising galas. Discreet aerial coverage that captures the scope of the event without distracting attendees.

News & Documentary

Breaking news, environmental coverage, documentary live segments. Rapid deployment and reliable signal delivery from any location.

Why Our Team

WE WORK LIKE A BROADCAST CREW.

Live broadcast doesn't tolerate hobbyists. Our crew has worked alongside network engineers, video directors, and TD's on broadcasts of every scale. We understand how a show is built, how a switcher cuts, and what it takes to be one of the cameras a director can rely on.

Redundant Systems

Dual transmission links, hot-swap battery systems, backup pilots and engineers. If something fails, we have a backup. The show doesn't stop.

Show-Ready Workflow

Our pilots are on comms with the director, take cues, hit marks, and reset between segments just like a camera operator on the ground. We don't need babysitting.

FAA Crowd Waivers

We hold the operational authorizations required to fly over crowds, including Part 107 waivers for OOP (operations over people) and night flight. We handle the paperwork before the call sheet.

Engineering Support

Our broadcast engineer works directly with your video engineer to dial in signal, color, frame sync, and tally before showtime. Clean integration with whatever truck or switcher you're running.

Crowd-Safety Protocols

Spotters, geofencing, defined no-fly zones, redundant kill switches, and a safety officer on every shoot. Full commercial insurance up to $10M. Clean record since 2011.

FAQ

BROADCAST QUESTIONS

How do you integrate with our existing broadcast truck?

Our broadcast engineer works directly with your video engineer pre-show to dial in signal flow. We can deliver the feed via SDI, HDMI, or IP-based protocols (NDI, SRT). We support genlock, tally, and embedded audio. If your truck can take a camera, we can feed it.

What's the actual latency?

Sub-100ms glass-to-glass under normal conditions. Real-world performance depends on the venue and signal path, but we aim for the same latency profile as any other wireless camera in your camera package. Cuts feel natural to the director.

Can you fly over a live audience?

Yes, with proper authorization. We hold FAA Part 107 waivers for operations over people, which is required for flights over crowds. Each show requires its own venue review and safety planning, but we have the credentials and experience to execute these flights.

Do you provide multiple feeds?

Yes. We can deliver the program feed plus a separate clean feed for ISO recording, or split signals for multiple destinations. Just let us know what your TD needs in pre-production.

What if we lose signal mid-show?

Redundancy is built into our system. Dual transmission links, hot-swap batteries, and a backup engineer on every show. If a primary system fails, we cut to backup automatically. Mid-show signal loss has not happened on any of our broadcasts.

Can you support 4K UHD broadcasts?

Yes. We support full 4K UHD output via 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0. Most productions still use 1080p, but if your show is 4K, we'll deliver 4K.

How quickly can you mobilize?

For most productions, two weeks of lead time gives us enough runway for site surveys and FAA authorizations. We've done faster turnarounds for breaking news and emergency coverage. Call us with what you've got and we'll figure it out.
